A new face is about to appear on an upcoming episode of Degrassi Next Class.

According to Tuesday's report from The Peter Borough Examiner, actress Kelaiah Guiel will play the part of an 'upset teenager' in the second episode of the second season. It's unclear how big of a role this is, but either way, the actress seems very pleased about the part.

When she got the role, she said she "flipped out" and "was screaming."

"It was one of the best days of my life," Guiel said. "I think it was the biggest part of my career so far."

The actress also pointed out that the best thing about being part of a TV show is seeing what goes on behind the scenes of such a memorable program.

"You get a whole new appreciation for every show that you watch," she said.

Guiel apparently filmed her part in the episode last July and couldn't reveal that she was in it until now.

"It was the hardest thing not to talk about it," she said.

In a previous report from Deadline executive producer Stephen Stohn opened up on the series and how some changes needed to be made.

"We've always strived to be completely authentic," Stohn said. "But over the past few years in particular, on the air we were getting pressure from executives to play it a little bit safer. Now this year we can tell stories of female masturbation. We can just go where the stories are."

Even though some stories might be different, the controversy will very likely stay.

"We've always strived to be completely authentic," Stohn said. "But over the past few years in particular, on the air we were getting pressure from executives to play it a little bit safer. Now this year we can tell stories of female masturbation. We can just go where the stories are."

Degrassi Next Class Season 2 premieres on Friday, July 22 on Netflix.
