Kate Middleton's uncle said knows the perfect gift to get his pregnant niece and Prince William's soon-to-be first child, due in July.

Gary Goldsmith told The Sun newspaper on Sunday that what he considers to be the "brilliant" gift for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's child, is one that incorporates his passion and love for the London soccer team, the Chelsea Football Club.

"I'm going to get exactly what I get for all my mates' babies," he told the paper. "As a die-hard Chelsea fan, I always get the baby Chelsea shares. Then, when it's a bit older, I get it a full tiny Chelsea strip."

The 48-year-old said that his special gift will drive the "parents mad."

"I love turning their kid into a true blue Chelsea fan. And Prince William is an Aston Villa fan. I thought it could be hilarious."

His comments may have added speculation on Kate expecting a boy.

Goldsmith, who reportedly goes by the names "Uncle G" or "King of Fun" is the younger brother to Kate's mother, Carole Middleton. He said that his gift will definitely be memorable to the first time parents because it will be one-of-a-kind.

"I mean, what on Earth can you get for a baby like theirs?" he said. "That baby is going to have everything it could ever want. So Chelsea shares are perfect. I think William will find it funny."

Goldsmith said he intends on attending the baby's christening, and revealed that he was one of the guests that attended the royal couple's wedding back in April 2011.

"We have always been a very close family," he said. "I am so looking forward to the arrival of Kate's first baby. We all are. I would hope to be at the christening, but I'm sure I won't be a godfather!"

The funny uncle also recalled the day when Carole brought Kate home from the hospital, adding that "she was a tiny little thing, really delicate."

"I've always been Uncle G to the kids," he said. "I'm the one who's always played games, made them laugh."
