Vin Diesel may be playing a part in the hotly anticipated Avengers 2 movie, according to a new post on his Facebook page.

Diesel posted a photo Tuesday that could possibly confirm his appearance in Marvel's The Avengers 2, which is set to be released in theaters in 2015.

"Marvel meeting today," Diesel wrote. "Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!"

In the photo, Diesel is standing next to a poster of a Marvel comic, featuring the character Giant Man. The post features multiple comments from fans speculating whether or not he'll be in The Avengers 2 and what character he would be playing.  Commenters threw out suggestions like Thanos, The Vision and Giant Man.

Diesel also wrote on his Facebook page on June 26 that he was meeting with Marvel executives, leading many to speculate that he was going to be cast in the upcoming film.  "Marvel has requested a meeting," Diesel wrote. "no idea what for... haha, you probably know better than me..."  The post was soon taken down.

Marvel likely made Diesel take the June 26 post down, as they did with actor Frank Grillo, who posted about screen testing for the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Diesel has starred in his fair share of blockbusters over the past decade, including the Fast and the Furious franchise, The Chronicles of Riddick and Babylon A.D.  This year, he will also be starring in the follow-up to The Chronicles of Riddick, simply titled Riddick.  That film is set to be released nationwide on Sept. 6.

Additionally, the latest incarnation of the Fast and the Furious franchise, called Fast & Furious 7, will be released in theaters July 11, 2014.
