The hit political Internet series House of Cards will reportedly be making the trek to Baltimore, MD, as the Towson courthouse will become the filming grounds for an upcoming episode in season 2.

According to The Baltimore Sun, the cast and crew of HoC will be shooting for season 2 at the courthouse on July 31.

Although the Cards team's presence will clearly be noteworthy in the city of Baltimore, spokeswoman Ellen Kobler doesn't think it will affect the residents' daily routines in or around the city.

"We're not anticipating disruption to normal activities," she said.

While Council Chairman and Catonsville Democrat Tom Quirk surely takes pride in his job, he had no qualms about acknowledging how the popular program amps up politics.

"It's over dramatic, but it's a fun show - the political intrigue. Politics are rough, but obviously they're very exaggerated [on the show] ... Real politics are a lot more boring than that stuff," said Quirk.

Councilman David Marks is proud to see the city of Baltimore acknowledged on the award -winning web show.

"I think it's great to see Baltimore County showcased in an Emmy-nominated series, although I don't think we have any of the intrigue of Capitol Hill," Councilman David Marks said.

Although no airdate has officially been announced, Netflix's House of Cards is slated to launch its season 2 on the Internet at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information. A teaser for the upcoming season can be viewed below.
