Although Amanda Bynes remains locked down under a 5150 mental health hold, fellow All That star Nick Cannon is thinking about her every day and has high hopes about collaborating with the troubled actress upon her release.

Speaking to EnStars, the America's Got Talent host revealed that he reached out to the starlet about a month ago to make sure she was ok.

"We communicated, and I let her know I was there for her if she needed anything," he told EnStars while promoting his new partnership with Snapple. "No matter what the public opinion is of her, I wanted her to know I was there for her."

Surprisingly, Bynes only wanted to talk about her music career.

"She only wanted to talk to me about her music. She was very excited. I told her, 'Hey, if you need me, I'm here. I got beats,'' Cannon recalled of their conversation.

Cannon believes she'll be able to stand out among the hit makers like Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears.

"She has her own unique voice, and she has a fan base, so she's probably just as talented as a lot of other people out there doing music," he revealed.

In June, Bynes announced she was breaking into the music business. According to Waka Flocka Flame, she has a potential deal in the works with the rapper and may soon sign to his hip-hop label, Brick Squad Monopoly records.

But her music career might be on hold. As EnStars previously reported on Monday, Bynes allegedly set fire to a California woman's driveway and was subsequently hospitalized on a 5150 hold -- a involuntary hospitalization during which the individual in question undergoes a mental health evaluation.

On Wednesday, July 31, Bynes' publicist pal talked to EnStars about how she's responding to the treatment.

"Her treatment is going well and despite any reports to contrary, she is being receptive and seeking the help she so desperately has needed and deserves," Bynes' friend Jonathan Jaxson told EnStars.

"I am very happy and able to rest now knowing Amanda is getting help. She is a brilliant and amazing young woman who deserves the best. I hope she continues rehab for what ever her addictions may be outside of drugs. I am behind her 100-percent," he added.

Amanda Bynes' Most Bizarre Twitter PHOTOS

Earlier this week, TMZ reported that Bynes was showing signs of "severe mental illness" and was suffering from "schizophrenic tendencies." However, despite her strange behavior, Bynes reportedly tested negative for all illegal drugs except marijuana. Later, a photo emerged showing the former Hairspray star hiding under a white sheet as she is wheeled between buildings by staff at the center in Ventura, Calif.

Bynes' parents headed to court on July 25 to seek conservatorship over their daughter. Rick and Lynn Bynes filed court documents asking a California judge to impose a conservatorship due to their daughter's apparent mental illness. At a hearing the next day, the judge did not make an immediate decision.

Bynes and her parents will be appearing in court on Aug. 9 to review the temporary conservatorship for the second time.
