Lea Michele showed Jonathan Groff her whole vagina.

Now that I have your attention, allow me to go back and provide some context.

First, I must go over the tangentially related news that lead me to this discovery:

The reviews of the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, especially Beanie Feldstein's performance, have not been kind. This is not what I am here to talk about today. This will become relevant later.

(ACTUALLY AND CONVERSELY, in light of the barrage of negative comments Feldstein likely finds herself in the throws of now, I would like to say I am a big fain of Beanie's. I have not seen Funny Girl, but from Lady Bird to Book Smart to Impeachment to her overall genuine good-personness, Beanie, you have a fan in me.)

I am not here to talk about Beanie Feldstein today. I am here to talk about the resurgence of Lea Michele memes and tweets that have been wallpapering every corner of the internet.

Lea Michele has been on the outs with public opinion for a while, after several of her former Glee castmates came out citing different cruel and violent things she did to or around she worked with. She became notorious for a Rachel-Barry-esq diva attitude times one million, making her generally uncastable in the entertainment industry at large.

The revival of Funny Girl, however, set her bursting back into the eyes of the media. Having performed the song "Don't Rain on My Parade" both on Glee and at the Tony Awards, the world came to understand that Michele wanted to be considered a contender for any revival of the show, which (had the nightmare stories of her behavior not come to light) she may have been.

When the role was officially given to Feldstein, memes of Michele were everywhere, the world poking fun at the actor for her loss of the role. Recently, Feldstein revealed that Michele posted nicely on her Instagram after she recieved the role, and that Feldstein said, "I don't know the woman what-so-ever."

The posts eventually died down.

Until now.

Now that the Funny Girl revival has been met with a-less-than-positive response regarding the leading lady, the tweets about the Spring Awakening actress are everywhere.

One joke that has been ongoing for some time regarding the actress is that she can't read.

Now that, combined with the recent situation, has lead to some funny mash-up tweets.

Another tweet references how tired the actor's assistant must be of reading all of the Funny Girl reviews to her, under the assumption that she cannot read herself.

BUT, the Funny Girl reviews are not the ONLY reason that Lea Michele is trending on Twitter right now.

What do you mean by "whole vagina," Lea Michele?

It just so happens that on May 3rd, just a few days after the opening of the musical revival which took place over the weekend, Michele will be seen in a documentary titled Spring Awakening: Those You've Knownwhich follows the cast today and depicts the show's 15th anniversary concert.

The actor was loved by many in Spring Awakening in the leading role of Wendla, where she worked alongside another former Glee actor Jonothan Groff. Michele recently revealed that, upon Groff's request, she showed him her "whole vagina."

Michele shared:

"At one point, I literally showed him my whole vagina...He was like, 'I've never seen a woman's vagina before. Would you show me?' And I was like, 'Sure.' And I took a desk lamp ... and showed him."

As you can imagine, Twitter is also having a field day with this one.

I would also just like to do some parcing on the word choice, "whole vagina." (...how would she have shown him half...? Was that an option...?)

Spring Awakening brings back a time in the minds of many before Michele's personality was known. It makes those that have followed her career think back to a time when she was a young, powerful actress and singer. Before word of her straight-up tyranny came to light, people looked at Lea Michele as nothing more than a mega-talent. People on Twitter (who can always be counted on not to drop the ball) have pointed out:

We have no idea what's going to happen, but things are certainly lining up in a *very* strange way: As strange as lining up a desk lamp with...(you get the punchline, right?)
