As those of us here on the East Coast know, the skies have opened up, and the rain is pouring down. And while many of us may see this as a reason to hide away inside, the actor took to the outdoors. In a smiling video she laughingly shared, "Whenever you can go out into the rain, do not miss the opportunity!"

It is a moment of absolute, unmitigated joy. Drew Barrymore out in the rain is the same level of joy you see in children being told they are going to Disney. It warms your heart.

Of course, some people on the internet have been less-than-kind when looking at this video of perfect and pure joy. Don't worry, though: stans and supporters of Barrymore are coming to her defense.

One Twitter user sent out a message that read, "People being rude about this clearly forget how much Drew Barrymore went through as a child star. The fact that she lives a life filled with soooo much joy makes me smile every time."

Barrymore is optimism incarnate. The world knows that she has struggled, but she has worked her way through and continues to smile. Not only does she bring joy to herself, but she strives to bring this joy to everyone else. It's a beautiful thing.
