King Charles III is now preparing to reach a feat during a coronation - and royal fans expect him to be snubbed, too.

Queen Elizabeth II's death officially gave way to King Charles III to become the new monarch. The late Queen, for her part, waited for over a year after her father's death to be crowned.

The same thing goes for King Charles III.

UK officials confirmed this week, per several news outlets including Forbes, that the new monarch would have his coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, UK, on Jun. 3, 2023. It remains unknown whether that day and the next ones would become official holidays.

During the coronation, King Charles III will be crowned together with Queen Consort Camilla. Sources previously revealed to The Telegraph that the ceremony would be shorter, smaller, and less expensive than the usual coronation as part of his desire to have a "more modern monarchy."

It might also be connected to his plans to cut expenses and slim down the monarchy.

The Archbishop of Canterbury will lead the ceremony in Westminster Abbey, where King Charles III will recite his coronation oath and be seated in the Coronation Chair.

He will reportedly be crowned with the St. Edward's Crown, a $4 billion worth of crown with solid gold and 400 gemstones, including sapphires, rubies, and garnets.

But despite the fact that it is a historical event for the monarch, he would reportedly receive no support from his youngest son, Prince Harry.

Will Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Not Attend King Charles III's Coronation?

As of press time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no say about the upcoming ceremony. But royal fans expected them to be exempted depending on the outcome of Prince Harry's memoir and Meghan's Netflix project.

According to Radar Online, the ceremony will still push through regardless of what happens to the Sussexes, just like what the previous events and festivities did.

Before the arrival of Prince Harry's memoir, King Charles III's friend revealed to Mail on Sunday the questions surrounding the book, including the query whether it could be stopped.

The question inside the Palace is: 'Can the book be stopped?' It may be that even Harry can't stop it at this stage, but the feeling at the very top is that there's no good that can come of airing grievances in public," it revealed.

If Prince Harry backs out, it would still be up to the publisher Penguin Random House whether to allow him to cancel the deal or not.
