The second trailer for Marvel's highly-anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier has secured a significant timeslot for its big reveal.

According to The Daily Variety's Marc Graser, the film's second trailer is scheduled to debut on television during the FOX Super Bowl XLVIII telecast on Sunday, Feb. 2.

"#Marvel to show a new trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier during Super Bowl," he tweeted Jan. 20.

There has been no official comment from either FOX or Marvel on the news.

However, if the trailer does air during the big game, it could be a brilliant marketing move on Marvel's part to entice male viewers. The Super Bowl audience is traditionally made up of more male viewers, though a stronger female audience has been reported over the years.

It is unclear how much running the trailer during the highly coveted time slot will cost Marvel Studios, but Movie Web reports that the average price for a 30-second ad during the telecast is roughly $4 million.

Graser also revealed that DreamWorks would be unveiling a new trailer for Need for Speed during the telecast as well, and Michael Bay announced on his official website in December that Transformers: Age of Extinction would debut footage during the big game.

This is not the first time Marvel has chosen to promote one of their films during the Super Bowl. The film studio aired a trailer for Iron Man 3 during the 2013 game and offered fans an extended look trailer on the movie's Facebook page that same day.

Super Bowl XLVIII will feature The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks, and will take place at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, N.J.

Kick-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 on FOX.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier releases in theaters April 4.
