A country music legend is set to play an intriguing new role in the upcoming second season of Under the Dome.

Cast Wants Big Jim Rennie To Be Killed Off In Season 2?

Dwight Yoakam, famous for such songs as Ain't That Lonely Yet, is set to guest star in Under the Dome as Lyle Chumley, the owner of Chester's Mill's barbershop the Two Scissors. The news of Yoakam's casting comes from TV Guide, who note in the Wednesday report that he will recur in multiple episodes of season 2.

Lyle Chumley is a barber who has a "complicated" history with Big Jim (Dean Norris), mostly because he had a romantic relationship with Jim's presumed dead wife Pauline (guest star Sherry Stringfield). Lyle has a mysterious connection to the dome and could provide answers to where it came from.

The season 2 premiere of Under the Dome is written by Stephen King, the author of the Under the Dome book on which the TV series is based.
