In a recent interview, Criminal Minds show runner Erica Messer, dished on what fans can expect from the finale of season 9.

Messer spoke to Yahoo! stating that finale will be nothing like what fans had seen on the show before. "The stakes are insanely high because the whole team is in jeopardy like they've never been before," she said.

In the upcoming episode, the second part of the finale titled Demons, the BAU will be digging deeper into the ongoing murder investigation in Texas. While a lot of shicking revelations related to the case will surface, what might get fans more nervous is the fact that one BAU member's life will "hang in the balance." Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) will get into a dangerous situation as he tries to rescue another member, could she be the one in trouble.Here's the official synopsis:

Finale to be 'One of the More Twisted' Conclusions to a Criminal Minds Season?

Esai Morales will be returning on the episode as Bau Section Chief Mateo Cruz. The guest stars include Michael Trucco as Owen McGregor and Vrett Cullen as Preacher Mills.

The first part of the finale, Angels, aired on May 7.

Demons will air on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
