As it has been revealed that two agents will go down in the finale of season 9 of Criminal Minds, the speculation about who the chosen ones might be has started to take over.

Finale To Close With Cliffhanger After Death Of Major Character?

While Enstars already suggested that Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) might be one of them. TVGuide recently gave a hint to help get to the agents through the process of elimination. It seems like Matteo "Matt" Cruz (Esai Morales) is definitely not going down. The publication distinctly stated that he would not be targeted.

The preview which surfaced on the internet on April 30 shows the team locked in an encounter with armed opponents and this seems to be right outside the head offices of the BAU. As bullets fly some agents might get caught in the line of fire. The biggest give away is the tag line the promo runs with -- "Two agents will go down."

Finale to be 'One of the More Twisted' Conclusions to a Criminal Minds Season?

Judging by this bit of information we are pretty certain that at least one major character is set to take a hit. In fact the synopsis for the second part, Demons, of the two part finale suggests that the life of one of the Bau members "will hang in the balance."

Here's the official synopsis for the first part of the finale, Angels:
