While it was not easy at first, Lambert told The Associated Press that she and her husband of three years have learned to "laugh about it" when it comes to rumors regarding their personal lives. Through song and good humor she has dealt with the media scrutiny, which has been building ever since the couple tied the knot in 2011.

"Everyone knows we've been in the tabloids for ridiculous stories that aren't true and that's when you start to kind of go 'I didn't sign up for this, I just wanted to play music to a bunch of people and for them sing along'..." explained Lambert, adding "It's hard to get used to.. We're thrust in this whole different world."

Are Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Considering Children?

The couple has managed to utilize social media in attempting to discredit talk of cheating, divorce, and pregnancy.

They communicate frequently when on the road and live together quietly in Nashville when they aren't touring and when Shelton isn't engaged with his coaching gig on NBC's singing program, The Voice.

"I think we're getting there," said Lambert, discussing her and Shelton's ability to handle the media attention, "And it's making us stronger."
