He's considered one of the sexiest actors in Hollywood and made many female fans' hearts beat uncontrollably when he stripped for his 2012 movie Magic Mike.

'Magic Mike XXL' Will Be 'Different?'

And now, with the news that the sequel film, Magic Mike XXL, is set to be released next summer, star Channing Tatum appears to be getting back into practice with taking off his clothes for the cameras.

Appearing on Running Wild with Bear Grylls, the actor took off his pants after a ride in a helicopter-after some encouragement from his co-star.

"You're good at stripping, this is your heritage," Grylls told Tatum on the episode.

"Where are my American flag underwear?" Tatum asked after seeing Grylls' Union Jack underwear, before adding that it was "weird that you picked two things I'm actually OK at," as he tore off his pants.

Not only did Tatum remove his pants for the show, he also admitted that being on the show was unlike any movie set he had ever walked on.

"Everything in the movie world is so planned and general rehearsed. This is not rehearsed. I don't know what's going to happen," he said.

As for his highly-anticipated sequel film, Tatum has remained mostly tight-lipped about the details, though the rumor mill has churned out a few reports about whether or not all members of the original cast would return-with several claiming a feud between Tatum and Alex Pettyfer keeping the younger actor out of the sequel.

Back in 2012, it was reported several times that Pettyfer had a bad attitude on set, and the fights between him and Tatum caused a lot of tension.

"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming," a source told The New York Post back in 2012. "Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex."

"He hates Alex," another source told Us Weekly at the time. "Channing though Alex was a diva on set. Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason. He thinks he's the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey."

And though McConaughey was also rumored to not be returning this time around, the invitation was reportedly extended to him willingly-the same couldn't necessarily be said for Pettyfer.

"Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence," a source told OK! Magazine July 11. "It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."

Magic Mike: XXL is set to open in theaters July 3, 2015.
