The ABC series was hoping to get a boost in viewership by premiering the Age of Ultron trailer in the 9 p.m. slot, but an unfortunate leak put the kibosh on Marvel's master plan (see the full trailer here). To remedy this, the powers that be have decreed that the series can show an entire clip instead.

"On Tuesday's Marvel's #AgentsofSHIELD, see an EXCLUSIVE SCENE from Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" at 9|8c on ABC!" Agents of SHIELD teased on Friday.

'Avengers 2' Can Captain America Trust Hawkeye? 'Winter Soldier' Deleted Scene Revealed

After scaring off viewers due to a slow season 1 start, Marvel's first live-action series has yet to recoup its losses in the second season. The season 2 premiere brought in 5.98 million viewers, but by time episode 4 rolled around, SHIELD had only 4.36 viewers despite introducing a host of highly anticipated characters.

It is unknown what clip will be shown on Tuesday, but there is a distinct possibility that it will be the same scene debuted at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. While Con goers viewers were treated to the trailer, they also saw Earth's Mightiest Heroes sharing a lighter moment as they took turns attempting to lift Thor's hammer. That is until a rather annoyed Ultron interrupted them.

Find out more when Agents of SHIELD airs at 9 p.m. ET on ABC (see preview below). The Avengers: Age of Ultron will enter theaters on May 1.
