Hold on to your seats Walking Dead fans because this surprise is for you. The AMC hit show will be parodied in a new movie scheduled to be released on March 20.

'The Walking Dead' Cast & Crew Share Details About New Episodes 

On Wednesday, IGN reported that ARC entertainment has acquired the rights to distribute the new film The Walking Deceased, which is clearly influenced by the AMC show.

According to the site, the new film "follows a ragtag group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by zombies."

Fans Await The Return Of 'The Walking Dead' 

The characters in the film will include a sheriff (who happens to be in induced coma), his son, a hobo with a crossbow, four friends and a lonely zombie in search for love.

Indie filmmaker Scott Dow is directing the film along with other notable talents such as Joey Oglesby, Dave Sheridan and Tim Ogletree.

The new film is a spoof that will parody shows and movies like The Walking Dead, Zombieland, Dawn of the Dead and World War Z.

While the movie will not be exactly like the AMC show, it is obvious that fans will see a lot of similarities.

The Walking Deceased is set for a North American release on March 20.

The Walking Dead returns to Sunday nights on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. on AMC. Fans can watch a sneak peek of the brand new episode in the video below.
