In an AMC video, the cast and crew opened up about some of the characters and what fans can expect to see when the show returns.

Actor Chad Coleman, who plays the role of Tyreese, opened up about the second half of season five and the first thing he said is the characters, 'are going to go through even more hell.'

Based on the winter premiere, it's clear that Coleman's statement is in fact true, and one of the executive producers on the show is telling fans why things are heating up.

Producer Scott Gimple said, "There are some very emotional moments, there are some very crazy moments and there's a huge change for the situation of these characters."

Darly, who's played by actor Norman Reedus said that the characters used to operate out of fear, but when the season returns, they'll be running toward the danger and "hitting things head on."
