Glee star Jane Lynch recently spoke about Michael Bolton, "Samchel" and a variety of topics heading into the series finale next month.

Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on the Fox musical series, spoke with TVLine this week and revealed that she does not have any screen time with Bolton, a.k.a. the father of her child.

"Unfortunately, I don't actually have any scenes with Michael Bolton," Lynch revealed. "There's an exposé done on Sue Sylvester, and he pops up on the screen to basically just say he has no idea who I am. That's the father of my child!"

Lynch was also asked about another interesting relationship on the series, Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Rachel (Lea Michele), otherwise known as "Samchel." The actress suggested that there is nothing really going on between the two of them.

"There really is no Sam-Rachel relationship. I think they're just friends. That's all there is," she said.

On a different note, she said that the series finale is ultimately "quite fitting" as the show jumps forward five years.

"It's a great ending," she said. "We jump five years ahead in the couple scenes of the last episode, so we'll find out where all the kids are. Where Sue Sylvester ends up is pretty remarkable; I think people will really love it."

Lynch also talked about how Sue Sylvester, originally such a hard-nosed villain in the first few seasons of Glee, has really softened over the years.

"One of the things I realized early on playing her is that she's your worst enemy, but she's also your best advocate," Lynch observed. "I think Sue kind of operates in those extremes."

Glee airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
