The anticipation of learning who was responsible for the death of Tom Murphy on Secrets and Lies has been killing fans of the show, and since they can't find out the truth until the season finale airs, many have instead started taking to social media to voice their opinions.

Ben Gets Thrown Another Unexpected Curveball

The only thing fans know for a fact is that Ben Crawford (Ryan Phillippe) was not the fun who committed his son's murder, and the person responsible is in fact a female. But which female is leaving fans puzzled, as the show has thrown several huge twists into the mix which have kept everyone guessing.

As a result some have taken to Twitter to express their frustrations about not being able to figure out the mystery.

Others have taken to the social media platform to try and guess who was responsible--with one person in particular seeming to be the most favored candidate for murder. Following the penultimate episode which aired on April 26, many now suspect that Jess Murphy (Natalie Martinez), Tom's own mother, killed her son, after Ben discovered that she was mentally unstable and off her meds--and happened to own the same blue jacket that was being considered a key piece of evidence in the case.

Not far behind her as a suspect is Abby (Belle Shouse), Ben's youngest daughter (who was the murderer in the Australian version of the show).

Of course, others are also having fun with the guessing and thinking outside of the box as well.
