A new look at the upcoming season of ABC’s Rookie Blue gives viewers a deeper look at Nick’s new relationship.

Nick’s New Romance Has ‘An Exciting Twist’ That Viewers ‘Didn’t See Coming

Writers definitely shook up the story line this season as the woman he’s dating, Juliet, is actually new officer at the precinct. They get a little closer than Nick was ready for. Especially after Andy moved on with Sam.

Peter Mooney, who plays Nick, said, “Nick’s recently sworn off dating cops. But it doesn’t last for very long. They try to keep distance but as the episodes go on that distance comes under strain.”

Still, there could be a different kind of tension between them as actress Erin Karpluk reveals that her character is hiding something.

“My character has a secret. I feel the responsibility to keep that distance between us. But there’s also that chemistry that’s hard to fought.”

But they aren’t the only ones who are going through relationship woes.

While Traci takes Steve back, she’s a little hesitant at being all in.

Actress Enuka Okuma said, “Traci welcomes Steve back into her life. She can’t deny how she feels about him. But she’s a little wary of him. They’re gonna get back on but not without problems.”

Still, Traci’s career is challenged yet again as she tries to help a woman who is a victim of a “serial predator.”

“No amount of training can prepare her for this situation.”
