The Mason boys have made it through four years of an alien apocalypse on Falling Skies, but can they cross the finish line?
Tom (Noah Wyle), Hal (Drew Roy), Ben (Connor Jessup), and Matt (Maxim Knight) have managed to survive through thick and thin, through eye worms and space travel, through alien abductions and deadly ghettos. As the series comes to an end, however, the Mason's family good fortune could run out.
Connor Jessup's Ben, for one, will take on a particularly dangerous mission in the penultimate episode. Could his effort to save the 2nd Mass and, by extension, humanity, be his last? The actor played coy on the subject while visiting San Diego Comic-Con, but he did admit that life will turn out just fine for at least some of the 2nd Mass' finest.
"It's a happy ending for some characters," Jessup told Buddy TV. "It's not an unhappy ending for the show to have. We all go through a lot."
Whether or not Ben winds up six feet under, Jessup is pleased where the story left the spiked teen.
"I'm happy where Ben ended up," Jessup explained. "Not even specifically at the end of the show, but over the course of the show. I like Ben, which is a nice place to end it."
