Captain America: Civil War rumors have revealed a rather unsurprising death.

No Marvel film is without its casualties, and Caps next outing will undoubtedly pile up the bodies. One of these corpses will belong to Black Panther's father, according to Heroic Hollywood.

This news is underwhelming when placed in light of statements from Marvel Studio's Kevin Feige, who recently explained why Black Panther will make his debut during Civil War instead of during his own 2018 solo venture. In doing so, Feige mentioned T'Challa's brand new role as Wakanda's leader as well as the advancing age of his father, T'Chaka.

"It is a role that he is still in the beginning phases of taking on, it's a mantle he is only beginning to take on because his father is older," Feige told Birth Movies Death in late June, explaining that Age of Ultron's vibranium problem will cause the African leaders to move away from more isolationist principles.

Was this an indication that T'Chaka is set to kick the bucket? Quite possibly. All that remains to be revealed now is how the current Black Panther will meet his end. Canonically, T'Chaka falls due to an assassination, but Feige's reference to the character's age could indicate a new direction for his story.

Unconfirmed by anyone associated with Marvel Studio's vault of secrets, this fresh batch of morbid rumors comes from spoiler guru Umberto Gonzales. Despite Gonzales' reliable track record and the recent statements from Marvel Studio's president Kevin Feige, we would like to remind you to take this latest bit of intel with a grain of salt.

Captain America: Civil War will enter theaters on May 6.
