"The X Factor" revealed the top four semi-finalists on Thursday and an elimination led Demi Lovato to become the first mentor to lose all of her acts this season.

Lovato's contestant CeCe Frey was the first act to end up on the chopping block in the night's double elimination. She got the boot after receiving the least amount of votes from viewers at home.

"I'm very proud of everything that I've done on this show," said Frey, 20. "I'm ready to leave it with this entire platform I've acquired for myself, and I hope that I taught everybody at home that you need to love who you are-because the more you love who you are, the less you're going to need anybody else to."

Lovato was emotional over the loss of her last act and she sported the same leopard print makeup on her face as Frey in support of the singer.

"I didn't have time to react, otherwise I'd probably be bawling my eyes out right now 'cause I've grown so close to you and," Lovato said, "I'm just so proud of you."

Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and Cowell's boy band Emblem3 were deemed safe because they received the most votes. Britney Spear's act Diamond White was left in fierce competition against Cowell's girl group Fifth Harmony. The girl group sang Mariah Carey's "Anytime You Need a Friend" and White sang Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance."

White was sent home after L.A. Reid, Cowell and Lovato all voted against her. She was eliminated earlier in the season and then brought back by the judges, but displayed confidence despite her exit and vowed to return after she put out music on her own and returned from touring.

"After I get off tour I'll be sure to come back here with one of my hit songs and I'll perform for you guys," White said.

Stevens, Sonenclar, Emblem 3 and Fifth Harmony are the top four.
