After a long engagement, Brad Pitt and fiance Angelina Jolie may finally be ready to tie the knot — and soon.

The couple has been engaged for months, but they've also focused lots of energy on other big projects, like massive renovations to their country estate in France. But it seems they may be ready to finally take their relationship to the next level. A new report from In Touch Magazine said the couple picked up rings for a wedding ceremony from a high-profile jeweler at the end of last month.

"In Touch has exclusively learned that on Nov. 27, a stylist for the actress picked up wedding rings from Neil Lane jewelers for the couple," the magazine reported.

Anticipation for a Pitt-Jolie wedding reached a fever pitch as soon as the couple made it public that they were in fact engaged. Before that, they had long said they would not marry until everyone in America was legally allowed to do so, which was their way of supporting gay marriage in the United States.

But their opinions changed as their large family grew. They now share six children together. Three of them are adopted, including 11-year-old Maddox, 9-year-old Pax and 7-year-old Zahara. The remaining three children are all biological offspring of Jolie and Pitt, and they include 6-year-old Shiloh and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt has said that the children played a big role in convincing he and Jolie to go forward with a wedding sooner rather than later.

"It seems to mean more and more to our kids," the actor said. "We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to [get married] till everyone can.  But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. ... It means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."

And as things get closer to matrimony, Jolie said this week that she is planning to retire from acting in the next few years to focus more on her family. She told Britian's Channel 4 News that while she loves acting, her family will ultimately come first.

"I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it's a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it. But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children," Jolie said. "I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home."
