She knows Franco (Roger Howarth) is actually completely innocent when it comes to Silas' murder, and now, armed with more knowledge of why he is still sitting in jail for a crime he didn't commit, Nina (Michelle Stafford) will take things into her own hands and confront the real murderer -- Ava (Maura West) on General Hospital.

The Truth About Ava Is Revealed?

Nina learned from Franco that he was still sitting in jail because he was trying to protect her -- because Ava had managed to snap a photo of when Nina was at the crime scene -- and caught the perfect moment as she kneeled over Silas' dead body, with a bloody knife in her hand. On the threat that she would send the photo to the police if Franco didn't find and destroy the recording of her confessing to Connie's murder, Ava has managed to get away with things.

Nina, moved that Franco wants to keep her safe and protected, will also be furious that the woman who has been a thorn in her side for so many years is once again getting away with things -- and will take it upon herself to confront her as a result.

Nina Worries About How Far Franco Will Go To Protect Her

"Franco told me everything," she says in a preview clip for the Thursday, Aug. 13 episode.

However, Nina's threats may not move Ava, and she could wind up only making things worse.

However, Franco himself could wind up blowing the case wide open for himself when he accidentally lets slip to his father, Scott (Kin Shriner), that Silas had gone to Scott's office earlier on the day he died -- but will stop short of admitting that Silas was going to confess to have kidnapping Avery so he could save Ava's life. Now though, Scott will demand his son tells him everything.

"Why was Silas Clay in my office?" he demands in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
