He got involved with the DEA to try and stem the flow of drugs into Salem in an effort to protect Paige (True O'Brien) from getting in with the wrong people, but JJ's (Casey Moss) reasons for being an undercover agent aren't going to go over well when they're revealed to Roman (Josh Charles) on Days of Our Lives.  

JJ & Paige Have An Awkward Run-In

Since agreeing to be involved in the investigation, in the hopes of finding out who is bringing all the drugs into town and getting the situation completely back under control, JJ has been mainly going rogue, in an attempt to quickly finish off Kyle (Michael Cardelle), a dealer who is making romantic moves on a susceptible Paige.  

Not only did he disobey orders and seek Kyle out before he was contacted for a piece of the action, which could make him seem suspicious, he swiped a spare key to Kyle's apartment and broke in to try and find evidence of his dealing-all major violations of his work. 

Paige Issues A Strong Warning About JJ

Now, Roman will catch wind of how JJ has been going about his undercover work and will confront him for handling things the wrong way. In the process he may stumble across JJ's real reasons for joining up with the plan. He had made it seem as if he wanted to control the drug flow in the area so people like him couldn't be sucked back into that world. However, when it quickly becomes clear that he's doing it all in an effort to keep a watchful eye over Paige-and maybe even try to redeem himself in her eyes, Roman could give him a stern warning that if he doesn't start cooperating the way he's supposed to, he could be removed from the operation entirely.
