MTV through Teen Wolf a curve ball when it ordered a sixth season.

'Teen Wolf' Season 5: Kira Is 'Very Confused', Arden Cho Teases Kitsune's Continuing Evolution

Series creator Jeff Davis announced the series' renewal at San Diego Comic-Con in July, but it wasn't a message Davis ever thought he would get to deliver. Teen Wolf is currently in the midst of season 5, and Davis was convinced that the 20-episode run would be the last for Scott (Tyler Posey) and Co.

Now, Davis is trying to decide what's next for Beacon Hills' supernatural teens.

'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Spoilers: Desert Wolf Cast, Has Peter Hale Solved The Mystery?

"We're still debating that because, I have to be honest, I thought season 5 was it. I thought we were ending," Davis explained, according to Hypable. "I have no idea what's going to happen with season 6."

Viewers were expecting Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Scott, Kira (Arden Cho), Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig) to graduate at the end of season 5B, but that celebration is no longer in the cards. It seems sending the pack off to college was more of an end game rather than a way to continue the story.

"We won't get to graduation by the end of season five," showrunner Jeff Davis teased, according to E! Online. "We're a little like The Simpsons where Bart stays in fourth grade for 23 years! We've been tossing around ideas about that since there seems to be a fervor for more and more episodes all the time."
