Busy Phillips announced on Twitter today that she is expecting her second child.

The "Cougar Town" actress, posted a photo of her Clear Blue pregnancy test stick with the digital reading "Pregnant" on Monday, December 10.

"So this happened . . .," the 33-year-old captioned the Twitter photo.

A rep for the star also confirmed the pregnancy to Us Weekly.

The baby will be Phillips' second child. The actress also has a 4-year-old daughter, Birdie, with her screenwriter husband Marc Silverstein. The couple wed in 2007.

In 2010, Phillips revealed that she gave birth to Birdie without painkillers on Aug. 13, 2008.

"I had a baby with no pain medicine, mainly because most people I talked to didn't think I'd be able to do it," Phillips told Us. "So there!"

"I only became a celebrity because I had a kid. Before I was pregnant nobody cared," Phillips told People. "I joke to my agent that having a baby made my career."

Phillips spoke with Life & Style about finding balance while juggling motherhood and her career after she gave birth to her daughter in 2008.

"It's hard to be a mother who works, and it's hard to be a mom period, so when you add work in, it's just an added pressure," she had told Life & Style. "I could spend more time working out and in the gym, but I don't want my daughter to grow up and think that her mom didn't take her to music class because she had to go workout. That's gross, and I don't want to be 'that' mom."

"I always tell Birdie that I'm so lucky because I have two jobs that I love," Phillips added. "The first job is being her mother and that's the most important job."

Prior to giving birth to Birdie in 2008, she practiced hands-on as a godmother to Matilda, 7, the daughter of her best friend, actress Michelle Williams, who was also her co-star on "Dawson's Creek."

Phillips is a main cast member on "Cougar Town", a comedy that originally aired on ABC since its debut in 2009. The network cancelled the show, which stars Courtney Cox in the lead role as a divorced, single mother. The show will air for another season in TBS next year.

Phillips plays the assistant and younger friend to Cox's character Jules.
