Monty's hands are stained with blood on The 100, and season 3 will see the teen attempt to carry his guilt in the wake of the Mount Waether massacre.

He didn't pull the lever, but Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) is just as culpable as Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) when it comes to the extermination of the Mountain Men. As far as Jasper (Devon Bostick) is concerned, Monty is even more to blame thanks to the emotional backstabbing he doled out to his BFF and partner in crime.

As season 3 opens, Larkin promises viewers will see the fallout from Monty's first real bloodshed.

"I'm sure he's going to take equal responsibility with Clarke and Bellamy," Larkin explained at Dragon Con last weekend. "He's track record was pretty clean up until that point and now he's got the massacre of Mount Weather on his hands. So that has to weigh heavy. There's also killing Maya, and when you kill your best friends girl friend, how does that affect your relationship?"

In a word - badly.

Season 3 will pick up several months after the events of "Blood Must Have Blood: Part 2," but showrunner Jason Rothenberg believes the old adage, "Time Heals All Wounds," won't be enough to rebuild Jasper and Monty's friendship.

"Obviously [that relationship] is going to be very, very strained now going forward and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it," Rothenberg told Access Hollywood. "I'm sure that things will transpire in the coming season to like push them back together - I hope, anyway."
