The lineup of the season 2 of Empire is still growing with more celebrity guests confirming appearances.

Taraji P. Henson Talks 'Empire' Cancellation Rumors

The most recent is actress and reality star Vivica Fox of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice. Her character will definitely be memorable and could be recurring as she’s slated to play none other than the older sister of Cookie Lyon. Interestingly enough, this will be the second star joining as one of Cookie’s sisters, Carol, as actress Tasha Smith took on the role for the series last season. The trio will surely be one full of one-liners and very interesting moments.

A very excited Fox confirmed the news via Twitter Thursday.

Lucious Proclaims Love For Cookie In Season 2 Teaser, Will She Feel The Same?

Executive producer Ilene Chaiken also told Entertainment Weekly, “Cookie’s other family members are troublesome to say the least.”

Cookie will certainly need her sisters by her side as she faces huge issues with Lucious and the Empire company in the long awaited episodes.

Chaiken also told The Hollywood Reporter, “Cookie was trying to take the company back from Lucious and whether or not that happens, Cookie’s journey is about trying to really take her place in this empire and to be on par with Lucious. Because they were partners when they began and he had all of this time to surpass her, but she still considers herself to be the rightful co-owner of Empire so she’s still on that journey. I would say this is her time.”

Rapper and Fast & Furious star Ludacris is also joining the show as an officer in the prison Lucious Lyon is in and Chris Rock plays one of his inmates. Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys & Lenny Kravitz are just a number of others who will be seen this season. Don't miss the season premiere Sept. 23 at 9/8c on Fox.
