Pop singer Justin Bieber posted a photo on his Instagram account Sunday with the caption "Newtat," debuting his new tattoo of roses, inked right next to the tattoo he has of arms folding in prayer on his left leg.

The 18-year-old added to his eight already existing tattoos: a crown on his chest, lettering on his ribcage that reads "Yeshua" (which means "Jesus" in Hebrew), and a portrait of Jesus wearing a crown of thorns on his leg, to name a few.

When users commented on his Instagam photo showing off his new tattoo by posting "more and more tatto" and "why why why," Bieber responded simply with "because because because."

Also on Sunday, the "Beauty and a Beat" singer posted shirtless images of himself on "Vacay" in an undisclosed location.

In regarding to his personal life, news about Bieber's relationship status with Selena Gomez are mixed. The two reportedly broke up, however, an eyewitness saw them kissing at a Salt Lake City, Utah, airport after a ski trip they took together days before Christmas. An airport onlooker saw the former Disney star, 20, sitting on Bieber's lap and them exchanging kisses every so often while talking.

Another celebrity to debut a new tattoo over the holiday season was MTV "Jersey Shore" reality star and new mom Snooki. Before she hosted MTV's New Years Eve party live from Times Square, she tweeted about her "fierce leopard tattoo" and attached an image of it.

"I wanted to get this because to me it represents being a strong independent woman, and obviously I love leopards/leopard print! The crown represents being a queen and being fabulous, and the wings represent everyone who has passed in my family," Snooki wrote on her Celebuzz blog. "Anytime I can incorporate my loved ones who have passed, I do it!"

Her sixth tattoo was inked when she and the rest of the "Jersey Shore" cast filmed their final reunion for the television series.
