Agent May, where are you?

'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: Lash's Role Is 'Not What It Seems', Chloe Bennet Explains

The Agents of SHIELD team is falling apart. May (Ming-Na Wen) went AWOL on vacation, Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) is struggling to survive on an alien planet, and Hunter (Nick Blood) is about to go off the rails in her quest for revenge. As episode 2 begins, at least one of these problems will hopefully see a resolution.

"You will see May in the second episode, you just don't know why she's there," Wen teased, according to Entertainment Weekly. "She's trying to figure it out and that's why, in the first episode, no one's really sure where her head's at right now."

What will bring May (temporarily) back into the fold? Unfortunately, it won't be the chance to fly Zephyr One, no matter how cool Coulson's (Clark Gregg) new plan may be. Instead, it might have something to do with SHIELD's need for her ex-husband's expertise. Andrew (Blair Underwood) is believed to be traveling with May, so when one returns, hopefully the other will as well.

"Adding Andrew into the team is really vital for season 3 because the Inhumans are no longer the exception," Wen explained. "They're becoming more of the norm."
