Key wins over Granada, Real Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao have put Real Betis atop the La Liga table proceeding the opening three rounds.  The football club is tied with Valencia with nine points and will look to continue its success when they host Real Zaragoza on Thursday.

Despite Betis' impressive streak, central defender Jose Dorado told ESPN that his squad isn't about to take its success for granted going into the game against Zaragoza.

"We know well from last year that praise is all well and good but we have to be ourselves.  Anyone can beat anyone and we need to remember the defeats from last year and learn from them.  We need to continue picking up points for whenever a bad run comes."

Betis skipper Pepe Mel also chimed in on the Segunda Division champions' recent string of dominance.

"I feel calm that we've started like this because we needed it.  We came from the second division and we didn't want any doubts creeping in.  In pre-season it was said that the team wasn't scoring and that it was going to have a bad time of it in the Primera, whilst I said that I was happy."

"I saw the work being put in and knew that this team was going to do things well.  For us it was fundamental to start well," he added.

Although the Betis squad has been pleased with its flawless start, Zaragoza hasn't fared as well.  The team kicked off its La Liga campaign by faltering to Real Madrid by an outlandish margin of 6-0.  From that point on, the team drew 0-0 at Rayo Vallecano and defeated Espanyol 2-1 over the weekend.
