Is there any autumn tradition more American than a high school homecoming? The returning alumni, the big game against the school rival, the dance and, of course, the homecoming court.

If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it goes like this: A high school student body nominates and then votes on a group of fellow students to be the king and queen of the homecoming, with the runners-up crowned as prince and princess (although sometimes, the elections are separated between upper and underclassmen). It's a high school community's celebration of itself by holding up those it sees as the embodiment of its very best (who are unveiled at the homecoming dance, natch).

Forget the prom king and queen, the homecoming court is where it's at!

And while we at Enstars may not be in high school anymore, we love the idea of having a homecoming court for our favorite young celebs. But why not mix it up and have the candidates (or more accurately, their fans) square off against one-on-one? So we decided to host our very first Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court Tournament.

Below is the guys, part one. You can find part two here. And head over here to vote for part one and part two for the girls.

Voting closes at 6 p.m. EDT on October 29th.

Here we have 16 of 32 male celebrities to vie for the titles of king and prince in our Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament with their respective polls. At the end of each round we'll share the results and continue with the next round until we have our Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court 2015 decided.

Male Contenders For King & Prince

1. Niall Horan vs. Cody Simpson
This Irish lad is full of life, charm and talent so he's definitely a viable option for king or prince.

This Aussie is a huge talent and does things his way, which we can certainly appreciate when it comes to ruling our website.

2. Justin Bieber vs. Austin Mahone
The Canadian is back and better than ever before. Is he worthy of being our king or prince? You decide!

Mahone is a fun-loving singer with some fly dance moves. We wouldn't mind if he were to be crowned as our king or prince so he could rock a crown while dancing at our Enstars Homecoming Dance 2015.

3. Zayn Malik vs. Shawn Mendes
The former 1D member has stirred plenty of drama over the last few months since leaving his boy band days behind him, but even a little bit of trouble can lead to a powerful reign.

This is a Canadian that is on top of the world in the music industry with hits like his radio-friendly "Stitches" so with that in mind we think he could totally provide double duty and perform at our Enstars Homecoming Dance 2015 aside from possibly reigning as our king or prince.

4. Ashton Irwin vs. Dylan O'Brien
This Aussie and his three bandmates reign over "The New Broken Scene" so he definitely has the experience to be a leader.

O'Brien is on fire with a starring role on MTV's Teen Wolf and being the lead of the movie franchise The Maze Runner and we think he'd nail ruling as our king or prince too.

5. Luke Hemmings vs. Nathan Sykes
Like Irwin, Hemmings is a 5 Seconds of Summer member and they have "The New Broken Scene" so perhaps one or more of them can also rule as our king and/or prince.

This Brit stepped out on his own after being in the boy band The Wanted, which takes a lot of bravery so we definitely think he is king or prince material.

6. Jacob Whitesides vs. James McVey
Whitesides is so, so, so talented and incredibly polite. Plus, he is quite worldly; he recently wrapped touring in Europe! These are all great qualities of leaders.

McVey is a member of The Vamps and we think thanks to the band's revolution, he would be totally fit for ruling our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015. Plus, he's never afraid to admit he is a Swiftie, which we think is pretty rad of him.

7. Connor Ball vs. Ricky Garcia
Ball is another member of The Vamps so clearly he is capable of ruling our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015 considering he and his bandmates have a revolution occurring with their latest musical project. Furthermore he can laugh at himself like when he recently hit himself while interacting with fans. We like that he can acknowledge slightly embarrassing moments with ease.

Garcia is a member of Forever In Your Mind and he's super determined and funny. We like the idea of having our king and prince be well rounded and Garcia definitely is.

8. Nash Grier vs. Liam Payne
Grier is an Internet star with a fan base that spans across the world so he is definitely a viable option for king or prince.

This One Direction member is constantly checking in with his band's fans, which is a great quality for a king or prince.
