The showrunners of Fox's Bones and Sleepy Hollow pitch why you should tune in for the upcoming crossover event.

Will Brennan & Booth's Love Affect Abbie & Ichabod Crane In 'Bones' & 'Sleepy Hollow' Crossover?

Bones is about to do a crossover with the supernaturally-inclined Sleepy Hollow, an event that will bring the two shows together in an innovative way. While fans of either show may be hesitant about the crossover, the show's bosses like how it all turned out.

Bones showrunner Jonathan Collier and Sleepy Hollow showrunner Clifton Campbell recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the crossover and why fans should tune in.

How Will Brennan React To Ichabod Crane Entering The Jeffersonian On 'Bones'?

"There's nothing not fun and entertaining about these two hours," Collier said. "It's an adventure that we normally wouldn't get to see these characters take."

"It's timely!" Campbell added. "It's our Halloween show and hits on all cylinders. It lands emotionally for us and there's really fun moments at the end where all four of them look at each other and go, 'Yeah, that's kind of cool. We should do this again some day.'"

Collier and Campbell spoke to the differing tones of the shows but also took note of the chemistry between Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz), Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).

"It's also a chemistry issue. That's something that you don't know until you see it. Tom and Nicole have such chemistry and they're so good that it was really fun to mix the four of them up," Collier said.

"They were sharing those little moments as actors and as characters that are very evident in the film," Campbell teased. "It didn't feel like either one was too far out of their comfort zone. Just enough of the tone from each show set a table and a platform for all four characters to really shine.

The Bones and Sleepy Hollow crossover event begins Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
