Bassett recently spoke with InStyle about her role in Hotel, where she plays Ramona, actress and jilted ex-lover of The Countess. Ramona is bent on getting revenge on The Countess, having courted Donovan (Matt Bomer) and Iris (Kathy Bates) as allies.

So is this all heading towards an epic showdown in the finale between Ramona and The Countess? Bassett has no idea!

"Well, we're in the dark. I don't know the end," Bassett admitted. So how exactly would she end Season 5 if she had her way? I know at the beginning I said, 'Let me take her down! I want to kill the Countess! I think I should be the Supreme! Oh, sorry, that was Coven. But we were all wondering, who's the Supreme? One queen! And I thought it should have been Marie Laveau. I think it should be Ramona Royale; but I don't know, he's going to find some underdog."

Asked if a showdown was coming, Bassett simply teased, "I do believe."

Despite being mortal enemies onscreen, behind-the-scenes is a whole different story for Bassett and Gaga. Bassett spoke about the welcoming party Gaga threw before filming began, complimenting her style and warm personality.

"She's a gracious, gracious hostess-really gracious, really warm, kind, like family. She's a family girl... It's really about her making you feel at home," Bassett said. "Now she's going to do it in a dramatic fashion. Drama! And flair! But you'll feel so at home."

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
