Warner Brothers has officially released the new trailer for the upcoming rom-com, How to Be Single, starring Rebel Wilson and Dakota Johnson.

Johnson, most known for her role in the bondage-themed Fifty Shades of Grey, decided to momentarily hang up her whips to play the part of Alice, a newly single 20-something looking for love in New York City. In the process, Alice finds herself part of an unlikely friendship with Wilson's untraditional character, Robin, who tries to show her the ropes. The film, adapted from Liz Tuccillo's book of the same title, is another promising installment in a new wave of comedy celebrating honest, hilarious, independent women.

How to Be Single is an especially smart move for Johnson, who stirred up controversy with her movie debut as Anastasia Steele in thee film version of E.L. James' notoriously vapid erotic novel. Since the potentially damning role, Johnson's disposition has raised some eyebrows - most memorably with a tense red carpet interview alongside her famous mom, Melanie Griffith, who was vocal about her disapproval regarding her daughter's breakout role. Watch the awkward exchange below:

In addition to some incredible supporting female cast members such as Leslie Mann and Allison Brie, appearances by the likes of Anders Holm and ever-charming Jake Lacy already feel like the perfect complements to the leading ladies. Overall, the trailer captures an undeniable chemistry between Rebel Wilson and Dakota Johnson, making the anti-chick flick's February 12, 2016 release date worth getting excited for.
