Empire star Taraji P. Henson might have found love, but as rumors swirl that he’s two-timing her, she reveals whether they were really dating in the first place.

Henson’s character on the series, Cookie Lyon, might not have trouble finding love. And the same goes true for Henson in reality, who is rumored to be dating NFL player, Kelvin Hayden.

But when speculation swirled that she wasn’t the only leading lady in his life after the two were spotted holding hands on a beach, she has spoken out about their alleged romance.

She chatted with daytime television talk show host Wendy Williams during Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution Thursday night. Williams didn’t hesitate to ask Henson about the headlines surrounding her love life just days after Henson and Hayden held hands on a Miami beach Tuesday.

“I have no idea. Yeah, you can’t believe everything you read,” Henson said. “Until you hear it from me, it’s false.”

But that wasn’t the first time they were seen together. The night before, they were spotted having what looked like a date night at Prime 112.

One who saw the rumored couple revealed, “They were affectionate.”

Meanwhile, once Hayden was put in the spotlight with Henson, it didn’t take long for other women to come forward and say their friends were dating him, too.

One shared a photo of Hayden and a woman and said her friend and the athlete “have a rocky but happy relationship but they are still very much together and haven been for a year now.”

Another woman also said her friend and Hayden had been dating for nearly 10 years.
