Mendelsohn, who plays Danny Rayburn on the series, spoke with Deadline recently about working with Sevigny, who plays Chelsea. The actor admitted to having "strong feelings" for his fellow cast mates.

"It was pretty organic. I was just blown away when I heard that [Sevigny] was going to be doing it. And it was pretty easy. I think we got there and we just felt our way into it," Mendelsohn recalled. "I mean, I already had strong feelings about it, so it was pretty easy. And, in fact, that's a gift of a lot of this cast. There's a lot of them I already had very strong feelings about- for a long time, too. Sissy (Spacek) and Sam (Shepard) are both people I've had strong feelings about for decades. It's sort of easy, in that regard, because your homework's done for you."

And even though Mendelsohn is and has been playing some dark characters throughout his career, he revels in it. Asked if going into such emotional territory is tough, the actor said it was to the contrary.

"No, I wouldn't say it's one of the more challenging things, per se. It's probably one of the more enjoyable things. You get a license to kill, as it were. It's pretty good in that way," he admitted.

Now, Mendelsohn is nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as Danny Rayburn. He is the only Bloodline actor nominated at this year's awards. It remains to be seen if he will collect the trophy on Sunday when the Golden Globes air at 8 p.m. ET.

Bloodline season 2 does not have an official release date on Netflix, though fans should probably expect it drop this spring as with season 1 last year.
