'Rick And Morty' Co-Creator Responds To Rumors Next Season Will Have Extra Episodes

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland used to host a podcast called The Grandma's Virginity Podcast alongside Ryan Ridley and Jackie Buscarino. And fans were surprised to see that it has just returned! For the first time since August 2013, a new episode was released on Sunday.

As the podcast description reads, Roiland, Ridley and Buscarino discuss "the burning topics of today, chat with special celebrity guests, and so much more than that. You have to just believe me, there is so much more going on. I don't know what else to say."

Meanwhile, Roiland's fellow Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon spoke about the changing dynamic in the writers' room.

"We hired a bunch of new writers. There was a craving for a gender balance in the writers' room that we had never had, but I'm also very proud of the fact that we didn't compromise ourselves following that craving," Harmon told Den of Geek. "We just looked harder and I don't know if it was coincidence or because the show was popping up on the radar of a lot of great female writers noticing, 'Well, they don't have any women writers in there. I'm gonna submit something.' It was probably a combination of all those factors."

Rick and Morty season 3 does not have a premiere date.
