Will Netflix's Bloodline come to an end after only two seasons on the service?

Everything We Know So Far About 'Bloodline' Season 2

A new report from local Florida Keys publication KeysNet.com suggests the Netflix series - which focused on the dark and twisted Rayburn family - may be forced to end its run after just two seasons. This is due to Florida legislators potentially limiting the tax incentives for Hollywood productions, says the report.

Bloodline script supervisor Kathryn Waters reportedly posted on Facebook about this predicament recently.

'Bloodline' Star Ben Mendelsohn Talks Which Cast Members He Has 'Strong Feelings' For

"'Bloodline' has been able to shoot in the Keys for two seasons due to the availability of the last of the incentive monies made available by the Florida legislature," she wrote. "If new money is not made available in the [current] legislative session ... it is doubtful that 'Bloodline' will have a Season 3."

The Florida Keys location is one of the most important aspects of the series and without it, the overall feeling of the series would likely change drastically - and not for the better. It would also strain credulity to have the entire Rayburn family move to a new location.

But it looks like there are some efforts to introduce new legislature in Florida. As KeysNet.com reports, Florida State Sen. Jack Latvala "has introduced an economic incentive program that includes a proposed 'Entertainment Action Fund' for grants to TV and film productions."

Florida Senate's Commerce and Tourism Committee reportedly endorsed the bill unanimously this week and will now go to the Senate and the state's House.

Bloodline season 2 does not currently have an announced premiere date on Netflix.
