Fans who felt like they didn't get enough of Daryl Dixon in the first half of The Walking Dead's sixth season don't need to worry--he's going to be a big part of the season's back half when it picks up next month.

Will [SPOILER] Die In Season 6?

In an interview with TV Insider, showrunner Scott Gimple reveals that Daryl will be a big part of the second half of the season--and yes, he will be able to reunite with the rest of the gang and Rick (Andrew Lincoln), albeit still without his beloved crossbow and motorcycle.

"We put Norman through his paces. He's very scary in this back half, but there are a couple of moments where he made me laugh out loud. There is a whole lot of Daryl and a wide variety of Daryl," Gimple said.

The Reason For Maggie's Haircut Revealed?

As for when he gets to reunite with the gang, Norman Reedus himself says Daryl is going to feel like he's let his friends down after having his crossbow and bike taken from him in an ambush, but he and Rick will quickly get back to working together to protect their group, as well as the other Alexandria residents who survived after the community became overrun.

"...For Daryl, he feels like he just let Rick down, and he's also pretty pissed at this point,"  Reedus said about Daryl's losses.

"We have a little Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid-type thing going on," Reedus later added. "It's safe to say that we get to do the tango, much to everyone's excitement."

The Walking Dead season 6 returns Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
