The last two years have been particularly difficult on the couple. From betrayals and kidnappings to pregnancy and murder, the pair has somehow managed to weather the storm far better than anyone could have hoped. Last week, however, a shooting left Tom (Ryan Eggold) fighting for his life.
As Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) track down a nefarious killer during "Drexel," fans should brace themselves for "quite the tearjerker."
"After the founder of a successful Internet start-up is found dead, Red recognizes the crime scene as the work of a notorious killer. Liz and the task force work with Red to track the murderer through a dangerous underground news source," NBC teased. "Meanwhile, Tom faces a life threatening situation, while Liz considers options for her baby."
With Tom's life on the line and Red hell-bent on keeping the couple apart, it appears the Keen's romance will take center stage (see video below). Although Red has a very different opinion, as far as Eggold is concerned, Tom has turned over a new leaf.
"I do think Tom has changed for good and I think he'll continue to change... he's been through a lot in three years (but I don't know if he's prepared for what's coming...)," Eggold teased in a Facebook Q&A.
See if Tom can pull through when The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
