'The Flash' Season 2: How Will Barry React To The Zoom Reveal? Grant Gustin Speaks Out

The Flash's resident journalist and Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) best friend hasn't received as much screen time as some fans would like, but season 2 is working to turn that trend around. From spearheading the plan to get Barry back on his feet in the premiere to working through a little West family drama, Iris' (Candice Patton) story has been slowly moving to the fore. When The Flash returns from its mini-hiatus, viewers should be prepared to dive into the reporter's work and love life.

In the wake of Wally's (Keiynan Lonsdale) introduction, Iris' "journalism and her romantic life begin to move to the frontburner," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Line.

In fact, the two topics might be related. Central City Picture News hasn't made a positive impression on Iris - he gave a rather harsh critique of her writing - and Trajectory's arrival won't bring them any closer together. Despite this, many have pegged Scott Evans (Tone Bell) as Mrs. West-Allan Ms. West's next love interest.

“Devoted to hard journalism, Evans will push Iris and all his reporters to dig deeper into their stories and report the truth about what’s really happening in Central City,” Variety teased.
