Fans who have been missing Kim Matula's Hope Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful are going to get a nice surprise when her character comes back for a brief one-episode stint next week.

Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Matula would be back on the show for the March 16 episode as part of a guest appearance-though she doesn't appear to be slated for any other episodes besides that.

With such a short stint, it's unclear just what kind of appearance she could make on the show (her last guest appearance in 2015 involved her appearing via video chat to convince her father, Deacon [Sean Kanan] not to marry Quinn [Rena Sofer]), but considering the recent storylines on the show, here are three reasons we think she could come back:

To Find Liam (Scott Clifton) and Rescue Him From Quinn:

Liam has been stashed away at Quinn's cabin since he passed out at the Forrester parking lot, and because he is suffering from amnesia, he thinks he is Quinn's (aka Eve) husband, Adam. The two have even made love several times, and Quinn is keeping him not only for the sake of promoting a Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) relationship, but because she's also started getting feelings for him. However Hope could quickly suspect that Quinn is behind Liam's disappearance-and could be the person to trigger Liam's memory and help him recuperate.

To Confront Steffy and Wyatt:

She and Steffy are no strangers to arguing over a man. Now, after learning that Steffy is now engaged to her ex-husband, she may decide to return home for one final face-off with her longtime romantic rival.

She Somehow Is Tied In With Ivy's Return:

Ivy took time to go to Australia to get over her feelings for Liam and has been off the canvas for awhile too. If she decided to pay Hope a visit in Italy, the two could bury the hatchet that was once between them, and team up to take down their mutual enemies with a double return to Los Angeles.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
