Meghan Markle’s $110K Jewelry Flaunt Sparks Kidnap Fears

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has reignited security concerns after showing off expensive jewelry and fashion brands in a recent promotional campaign for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Sources warn that her frequent public appearances adorned with expensive accessories may increase her personal risk.
According to Radar Online, the 44-year-old former actress featured nearly $110,000 worth of luxury clothing and jewelry in a glossy Instagram video promoting products such as preserves, candles, teas, and chocolates. While the campaign highlighted a relaxed Californian aesthetic, much of the attention online shifted to Markle's diamond necklaces, Cartier bracelets, and designer garments rather than the brand's offerings.
A security consultant familiar with celebrity protection told the publication, "When someone with Meghan's profile repeatedly displays extremely expensive jewelry and watches on social media and public appearances, it inevitably raises concerns about increased vulnerability. High-profile figures are already targets for obsessive attention, and visible wealth can make them more attractive targets for criminal acts."
AOL reported that Markle's promotional wardrobe included a $9,482 Cartier Love bracelet, a Cartier Tank Française watch valued at $23,940, a Logan Holloway diamond tennis necklace estimated at over $63,000, and designer pieces such as a custom Oscar de la Renta gown and $406 Tracy James jeans.

The campaign was filmed around Markle's Montecito home, where she appeared in tailored trousers, pastel sweaters, and white shirts while engaging with As Ever products. However, the extensive display of luxury items has sparked debate about whether this glamorous image conflicts with the brand's intended "stealth wealth" aesthetic.
Adding to speculation, detailed sizing charts for adult and children's clothing briefly appeared on the As Ever website despite the company not officially selling apparel. The pages were later removed and replaced with a "We can't find what you're looking for" message. A spokesperson attributed the incident to a technical glitch.
This campaign is one of the first major updates since Markle ended her collaboration with Netflix earlier this year. The streaming platform had backed her lifestyle and cookery series "With Love, Meghan" before the partnership concluded.
Royal biographer Omid Scobie notes that safety has been a long-standing concern for Markle and Prince Harry, who relocated to California in 2020 amid fears for their family's security. Harry has engaged in ongoing efforts to secure comprehensive protection when visiting the United Kingdom.
