The critic suggests that things might spiral out of control in that regard and the Underwoods might end up running a government like George W. Bush. This would mean, fans should prepare for more blood and gore, and war positive policy.

In other recent news about Season 5, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Joel Kinnaman, who plays the part of Will Conway in Season 4 of House of Cards, revealed that he will most likely be back for the next chapter.

Another major change which will really influence the direction the show might take is the fact that with Season 5, House of Cards is getting new showrunners.

Netflix has chosed two of the senior writers, Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese, who have been working on the show since 2014, to replace current showrunner Beau Willimon. In a press statement, the show's Executive Producer Kevin Spacey introduced the two as the new showrunners of the series.

"I welcome Frank and Melissa in their new roles on House of Cards and look forward to collaborating with them and our creative team on Season Five," he said. "We and the rest of the House of Cards writers look forward to the next chapter of the reign of Underwood," said Gibson and Pugliese."

In January when the announcement of the renewal of the series for another season, it was revealed that Willimon was on his way out.

Season 4 of House of Cards is set to return on March 4.
