Emotions are going to soar through the roof on the season finale of The Fosters.

In the last episode, SPOILER ALERT Stef responded to a domestic-violence call only to come to the house and find Jack's dead body there. Since the kid became so close with Callie and Jude, it's pretty obvious they won't handle this news well. But whatever happens, the siblings will deal with it in their own ways.

In Monday's report from TV Guide, series creator Bradley Bredeweg revealed how this will affect the characters.

"Obviously Jack was a very important character for us this season because we got to explore the foster care system in a very different way, especially the more corporate side of the foster care system-- which can be a very controversial thing," Bredeweg said. "It will be devastating, especially to Jude and Callie, once they find out what's happened with Jack. They will deal with it in very different ways."

Due to the work that Callie's put into the foster care system and having a rough upbringing with it, the death of Jack is going to make her angry to say the least.

"This is the straw that breaks the camel's back, and you're really going to see her react and get quite fired up," the creator revealed. "You're going to see her make some choices and some moves. She's been a little bit of a follower and a sheep in the system. You'll see Jack's death make Callie come into her own. She's fueled by this rage that she feels about the system and privatization as well."

The Fosters airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
