Castle (Nathan Fillion), Beckett (Stana Katic) and the rest of the Castle gang are about to involve themselves with a lamp potentially connected to the legendary Aladdin.

ABC has released a plot synopsis for the 17th episode of Castle this season, which is titled "Death Wish," detailing the circumstances of Castle and Beckett getting involved with Turkish relics.

"The murder of a man connected to smuggling Turkish relics sends Castle, Beckett and the 12th Precinct on a search for a stolen antique believed to be Aladdin's lamp, in hopes that it can lead them to the killer," the synopsis reads.

Guest cast includes Frank Tran as Lars Cross, Carolyn Stotesbery as Genevieve and John Ducey as Mark Nagle.

This episode is slated to air on Monday, April 11 in the regular Castle timeslot.

We are getting towards the end of the Castle season and now there's talk again of the future of the series. Showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter spoke with TVGuide.com previously about their plans moving forward, hopefully with Castle and Beckett.

"If we had our choice, it would be the same cast, it would be the same show," Hawley said. "We've done some fun stuff this year so that it has a little different energy that could absolutely carry through to a Season 9. But both of us are very invested in this, and we understand that Castle has always been about Beckett and Castle. So the idea of that not happening is daunting, and we're rooting against that."

Hawley added: "LokSat is definitely getting resolved at the end of this year. Our hope was to take all the threads—the conspiracies, Sen. Bracken, Castle's missing time—and really tie them off in a compelling, satisfying way, so that in Season 9 we can tell really compelling standalone stories and leave the conspiracy part of it behind. I think ultimately those stories are about played-out."

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
