One half of Agents of SHIELD's FitzSimmons isn't overly pleased with the couple's decision to head back to the start.

Following the devastating events of Maveth, Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) opted to press the reset button on their friendship/romance. After all they've been through however, that just might not be possible. When "The Team" rolls around, memories of the past might catch up to the science wonder twins.

"Come April 19, circumstances may prompt one of the team's science whizzes to second-guess their decision to 'start over,'" TV Line revealed on Tuesday.

Will someone's change of heart place FitzSimmons on the fast track, or will the lab rats take two steps backwards? Considering they're already attempting to turn back the clock, is it even possible for the pair to do anything but move forward?

"Their goal is to just be the 'FitzSimmons' of old and enjoy working together and enjoy science and not worry about all these possible futures or regrettable past," executive producer Jed Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter. "They want to get back to where they used to be. Whether or not they will succeed, we'll see."

Agents of SHIELD's latest foray into the world of FitzSimmons will play out against the backdrop of the Secret Warriors' first mission. Check out what's in store for episode 17:

"Agent Daisy Johnson must call upon the Secret Warriors for an inaugural mission that will leave no member unscathed, and S.H.I.E.L.D. learns more about Hive's powers, forcing them to question everyone they trust," ABC teased.
